The grad show website needed to showcase student work, build excitement for the event, and drive ticket registration. The process of designing the site included multiple rounds of feedback and honing in on the visual language and tone of the brand.

The brand's theme is Beyond Theory, Into Practice. It's all about how the program goes beyond textbook learning and focuses on real-world experience like one-on-one mentorship and practicum. The scientific and mathematical graphics play off this concept while creating a lively tone.

The copy needs to be playful and hype-driven, while still staying true to the core message of the brief: that IDEA is where students learn industry-ready skills and gain real experience.

The Capu Rebrand

A key part of the brief was to align the graduation show with Capilano University's recent rebrand. I made this connection directly by adopting the university's colour palette for the show's visual identity. This choice helped the two brands fit together seamlessly while still remaining visually distinct.
